SPECIAL EDUCATION

TEACHER RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Interested in becoming a special education teacher and supporting youth with disabilities to reach their full potential? In 14 months, you will graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master’s degree in special education and Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education licensure.

• Generous living stipend of at least $49,836
• Full academic year teaching residency in Milwaukee Public Schools
• Eligible for the Teacher Pledge, which covers the cost of tuition
• Graduate coursework offered at convenient times, leading to a master’s degree from UW-Madison
• Three-year commitment to teach in MPS upon completion of the Residency year
• Ongoing induction support provided
